Ozonotherapy
A dental examination conducted with the use of Diagnodent allows a due time detection of even the smallest traces of caries which, if neglected, could inevitably lead to pulp inflammation.
Early detected carious changes in the tooth can be treated with ozone (without drilling).
For this purpose the HealOzone device (KaVo – Germany) is used. The HealOzone device picks up the oxygen contained in air and changes it into ozone which is pumped onto the affected tooth; the tooth is sealed with a small silicon cup placed over it. The application of ozone eliminates 99.9% of the bacteria that cause caries. After treatment the tooth is protected with a special liquid which accelerates mineralization. The procedure is completely painless.
